{"id":288508,"date":"2025-08-13T12:33:49","date_gmt":"2025-08-13T16:33:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/noticias\/pil-completes-its-first-simultaneous-lng-bunkering-and-loading-operation\/"},"modified":"2025-08-13T15:50:30","modified_gmt":"2025-08-13T19:50:30","slug":"pil-completes-its-first-simultaneous-lng-bunkering-and-loading-operation","status":"publish","type":"noticias","link":"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/pil-completes-its-first-simultaneous-lng-bunkering-and-loading-operation\/","title":{"rendered":"PIL completes its first simultaneous LNG bunkering and loading operation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>As part of Singapore&#8217;s 60th National Day, the first simultaneous loading and refueling operation of liquefied natural gas<em>(SIMOPS<\/em>) was carried out at <strong>PSA&#8217;<\/strong>s <strong>Brani Terminal.<\/strong> This maneuver is an important step towards more efficient logistics with less environmental impact. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dual technology for LNG loading and bunkering<\/h2>\n\n<p>The <strong>Kota Ocean<\/strong>, an 8,200 TEU container ship with an LNG dual-fuel system, played a key role in this operation. Its design allows for an immediate reduction of the carbon footprint and is part of our fleet aimed at achieving the goal of zero net emissions by 2050. <\/p>\n\n<p>The <strong>bunkering of 4,000 m\u00b3 of LNG<\/strong> was completed in approximately 15 hours while the vessel was loading containers. This simultaneous mode of work reduces docking times and emissions generated during the stay in port. <\/p>\n\n<p>The operation was made possible through coordination with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/totalenergies-biofuel-b100-singapore\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"179529\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TotalEnergies<\/a><\/strong> as fuel supplier and the support of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/first-lng-bunkering-for-asuka-iii-in-singapore\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"260356\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore<\/a><\/strong> and <strong>PSA Singapore<\/strong>.
