The proposal, called <em>Komatsu Smart Quarry Autonomous<\/em>, integrates <em>Komatsu <\/em>&#8216;s hardware and support network with <em>Pronto&#8217;<\/em>s autonomous driving platform. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The implementation of autonomy for trucks  <\/h2>\n\n<p>This system allows <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/komatsu-transforms-mining-with-wx11-lhd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">modernize existing trucks or acquire new<\/a><\/strong> or acquire new units with integrated equipment, operating 24 hours a day with minimal human intervention. This translates into removing drivers from risk areas and ensuring more consistent transport cycles, with improvements in fuel consumption and the elimination of downtime. <\/p>\n\n<p>The solution uses artificial intelligence and a <strong>robust sensor suite<\/strong> to interpret the environment and execute haul routes safely. In addition, its design optimizes the cost and complexity of implementing autonomy in mines, offering a scalable approach that adapts to operations of different sizes. <\/p>\n\n<p>The system is complemented by the <strong>Smart Quarry Site fleet<\/strong> <strong>management<\/strong> and <strong>analysis<\/strong> <strong>platform<\/strong>, which provides real-time data to optimize the overall operation.
