The plant occupies 110 hectares and is equipped with 156,000 <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/redwire-deploys-deployable-solar-panels-for-lunar-gateway\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"275658\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">solar panels<\/a><\/strong>capable of generating energy to supply more than 40,000 households per year. <\/p>\n\n<p>This development represents a strategic step in Ignitis Renewables&#8217; expansion within the Baltic region. According to Darius Maik\u0161t\u0117nas, CEO of the group, the goal is to strengthen the renewable infrastructure in Latvia and lay the foundation for a competitive and sustainable energy system in Eastern Europe. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">More about the V\u0101rme solar park<\/h2>\n\n<p>The total investment in V\u0101rme amounts to EUR 66 million. The park will operate under market conditions and will contribute to the local supply of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/verne-powers-clean-on-site-energy-with-hydrogen\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"260957\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">clean energy<\/a><\/strong>. In addition, the project has been developed with the participation of local communities, respecting environmental standards and promoting social benefits in the environment.  <\/p>\n\n<p>The company is currently building two other large-scale solar projects in Latvia: Stelpe (145 MW) and Tume (174 MW).
