Lithuanian company MT Group has been selected to execute all onshore and surface infrastructure works on the second phase of the floating storage and regasification terminal (FSRU) in Brunsb\u00fcttel, Germany. The contract was awarded by Worley, responsible for the engineering of the project, on behalf of the state-owned operator Deutsche Energy Terminal (DET). <\/p>\n\n
The contracted package includes mechanical installations, piping, electrical systems, instrumentation, civil works and connection to the grid. This execution is part of the definitive relocation of the floating unit, which is currently operating at the terminal. The infrastructure will be developed in the new jetty built for this purpose. <\/p>\n\n
The Brunsb\u00fcttel terminal was incorporated into the national system in 2023 as part of Germany’s strategy to diversify gas supplies, following the interruption of imports from Russia. This logistics node is part of a network of state-owned terminals aimed at securing supplies with liquefied natural gas<\/a><\/strong> (LNG) from the global market. <\/p>\n\n MT Group had already been involved in the port area with a contract signed in 2024 with Gasfin for the construction of a 60 MW heating plant, currently at an advanced stage.<\/a><\/strong>heating plant, currently at an advanced stage. In both cases, the company was responsible for connecting floating infrastructure to the onshore system under demanding schedules and high operational pressure.
