In 2024 alone, it processed about 4.2 million pounds of materials, extracting more than 20,000 ounces of gold and nearly 900,000 ounces of silver, among other strategic metals. <\/p>\n\n<p>This acquisition represents a move for <em>Sibanye-Stillwater<\/em>, which owns<strong> recycling facilities<\/strong> in Montana and Pennsylvania. The integration of Metallix increases its operational capacity while providing specialized technology and local expertise with global reach through its commercial presence in the United States, the United Kingdom and South Korea. <\/p>\n\n<p>According to the group, <strong>Metallix <\/strong>has reported positive earnings and cash flow, which will make an immediate contribution to Sibanye-Stillwater&#8217;s results. In addition, the integration of capabilities is expected to optimize the group&#8217;s internal logistics and improve traceability in the supply of recycled materials. <\/p>\n\n<p>With this operation, Sibanye-Stillwater takes another step forward in its positioning as a key player in the <strong>recycling<\/strong> and <strong>refining<\/strong> of critical metals. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/nth-cycle-drives-critical-metals-refining-in-the-u-s\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"272721\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">refining of critical metals<\/a><\/strong>. The transaction is scheduled to close in the third quarter of 2025.
