Each unit is evaluated with proprietary technology for reuse or recycling. Qualifying batteries are assembled into scalable and flexible systems, with capabilities for grid integration or stand-alone operation. Finally, when they reach the end of their useful life, the cells flow directly into <strong>Redwood&#8217;s recycling system<\/strong> recovering minerals such as <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/innovative-thermodiffusion-technique-improves-environmentally-friendly-lithium-extraction\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"277818\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">lithium<\/a><\/strong><strong>nickel <\/strong>and <strong>cobalt<\/strong>.   <\/p>\n\n<p>One of the most important implementations is the <strong>microgrid <\/strong>developed for <strong>Crusoe<\/strong>, an artificial intelligence infrastructure company. In Texas, this 12 MW, 63 MWh system powers a <strong>modular data center<\/strong> at a lower cost than the traditional grid. This facility is currently the largest reused battery grid in operation in North America.  <\/p>\n\n<p>With more than one GWh of batteries in the process of integration and plans to deploy up to an additional 5 GWh, <strong>Redwood Energy<\/strong> is consolidating a strategy that responds quickly to growing electricity demand.<\/p>\n\n<p>The battery reuse approach is emerging as one of the most efficient responses to stabilize an increasingly demanding electricity grid.
