The installation of the X52DF-A engine in a 46,000 m\u00b3 gas cargo ship, built by HD Hyundai Mipo, confirms the industry’s commitment to alternative fuels<\/a><\/strong>. Thanks to the collaboration with HHI-EMD, the engine exhibits efficient performance with low emissions, aligning with global decarbonization goals. <\/p>\n\n The dual-fuel technology<\/a><\/strong> technology of this engine allows it to operate on both ammonia and diesel, incorporating a high-pressure injection system and a small dose of pilot fuel. This configuration offers dynamic response and load handling comparable to traditional engines. <\/p>\n\n On the other hand, the environmental impact is significant: being carbon-free and produced with renewable energy, ammonia can reduce emissions by up to 90%<\/strong>. The company plans to deliver another optimized engine from this series before the end of the year. <\/p>\n\n Strong demand confirms the industry’s interest: orders have already been received for about 30 X-DF-A engines<\/a><\/strong> for gas tankers, bulk carriers and container ships<\/a><\/strong>.
