The Errea Wittu FPSO<\/strong>, developed by MODEC for the Uaru project operated by ExxonMobil in Guyana ExxonMobil in Guyana<\/a><\/strong>is now in Singapore after successfully completing its voyage from China. This breakthrough consolidates the progress of the construction of the floating production, storage and offloading unit, destined for the Stabroek block. <\/p>\n\n

FPSO Errea Wittu ready in Singapore for module integration<\/h2>\n\n

During the sailing ceremony in China, the completion of the hull fabrication of the fabrication of the hull<\/a><\/strong>which included the lifting and partial integration of the modular structures. This event highlighted MODEC’s commitment to safety and efficiency, evidenced by more than eight million man-hours of work without lost-time incidents. <\/p>\n\n

Now in Singapore, the FPSO enters the next phase of development. This stage will see full module integration and commissioning activities before the unit is shipped to Guyanese waters. Collaboration between international teams has been key to maintaining quality and on schedule. <\/p>\n\n

Technical capabilities and projected production<\/h2>\n\n

On Errea Wittu FPSO<\/a><\/strong> will be essential for the development of the Stabroek block<\/a><\/strong>block, where the Uaru, Mako and Snoek fields are located. This unit will be able to produce about 250,000 barrels of oil per day<\/strong>, treat up to 540 million cubic feet of gas per day and store about two million barrels of crude oil. <\/p>\n\n

Delivery to ExxonMobil is scheduled for 2026, in line with the goal of achieving first barrel production that same year. MODEC, in addition to leading the engineering and construction, will be responsible for the operations and maintenance of the FPSO<\/strong> during the first decade of activity. <\/p>\n\n
