The company Fluxys <\/strong>has once again entrusted Sacyr <\/strong>with the execution of a new FEED engineering package at the LNG terminal in Zeebrugge, Belgium. This contract strengthens the collaboration between the two companies, consolidating the role of Sacyr’s technical subsidiary in the European energy transition. <\/p>\n\n

The Zeebrugge LNG terminal project<\/h2>\n\n

Fluxys <\/em>‘ new order calls for the design of new seawater vaporizers<\/strong>(ORVs<\/em>), associated pumps and a seawater collection system. This assembly will minimize the plant’s CO\u2082 emissions without compromising its shipping capacity. <\/p>\n\n

Since 2011, Sacyr Proyecta<\/strong> has played a central role in the development and expansion of this terminal, including the design of the fifth semi-buried tank of 180,000 m\u00b3 and a second jetty that allows transshipment operations between vessels of different drafts. In addition, it led the execution of boil-off gas<\/strong>(BOG<\/em>) handling facilities and the expansion of the regasification capacity to 2.6 million Nm\u00b3\/h. <\/p>\n\n

Sacyr Proyecta <\/em>‘s continued participation in Zeebrugge is part of its sustainable strategy 24-27, which prioritizes technical solutions for climate mitigation and promotes technologies that reduce environmental impact. The installation of ORV systems<\/a><\/strong> systems and new refueling stations for LNG trucks are aimed at a cleaner energy operation. <\/p>\n\n

As of today, Sacyr Proyecta maintains an active presence in key projects in Germany, Egypt, France and Spain, including LNG terminals<\/a><\/strong>terminals, biofuel plants <\/strong>and gas compression stations<\/strong>. This international expansion underlines its specialization in infrastructure development for the global energy transition. <\/p>\n\n
