The H2med project<\/a><\/strong> project continues to advance following the formalization of a joint venture to manage the development of the BarMar underwater hydroproduct<\/strong>, which will link Barcelona to Marseille. The alliance between Enag\u00e1s Hydrogen Infrastructures<\/strong>(EIH<\/em>), NaTran <\/em>and Ter\u00e9ga <\/em>strengthens cross-border cooperation in clean energy, consolidating the first renewable hydrogen corridor in the European Union. <\/p>\n\n

H2med corridor infrastructure<\/h2>\n\n

The new company will be based in the Provence-Alpes-C\u00f4te d’Azur region of France and will be composed of EIH-Enag\u00e1s<\/strong> with 50% of the capital, NaTran <\/strong>with 33.3% and Ter\u00e9ga <\/strong>with 16.7%. This structure reflects the balance of the BarMar project<\/strong>, shared between France and Spain, as an essential part of the H2med corridor<\/strong> together with the CelZa section between Portugal and Spain. <\/p>\n\n

With the backing of the European Commission, BarMar is established as a strategic project for transporting clean hydrogen<\/a><\/strong> to the continent’s main industrial centers. In addition, this network is expected to contribute to covering 10% of European hydrogen consumption by 2030. <\/p>\n\n

The creation of this joint venture represents our commitment and determination to realize this vital energy infrastructure for Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, this milestone marks the beginning of a new operational phase that will allow us to face the technical and regulatory challenges, with an integrated team and a common goal, to make H2med a reality.<\/p>\nArturo Gonzalo, CEO of Enag\u00e1s.<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n

This project has obtained funding from the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency<\/strong>(CINEA<\/em>), whose funding covers 50% of the current development costs. The resources will be used for engineering studies, marine surveys and environmental assessments, which are prerequisites for permitting. <\/p>\n\n
