In Tangshan, Hebei province, it <strong>has started commercial operation of its ambitious Shilihai solar-water farm<\/strong>, a mixed system that integrates <strong>photovoltaic<\/strong> generation and <strong>fish farming<\/strong>. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/alotta-implements-a-floating-solar-plant-to-make-aquaculture-more-sustainable\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/noticias\/planta-solar-flotante-reduce-emisiones\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">photovoltaic generation and fish farming<\/a><\/strong> and fish farming in the same area. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Solar-aquaculture park with 370,000 panels<\/h2>\n\n<p>This project has an installed capacity of 250 megawatts and covers approximately 353 hectares of ponds for fish farming. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/chile-installs-its-first-floating-solar-cage-for-salmon-farming\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/noticias\/jaula-solar-flotante-para-cultivar-salmon\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">fish farming<\/a><\/strong>. A <strong>total of 370,000 bifacial solar panels<\/strong>, a technology capable of capturing sunlight on both sides and maximizing energy yield by reflecting light off the water, <strong>have been installed<\/strong> on these water surfaces. <\/p>\n\n<p>The model implemented is based on the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/noticias\/meet-sharp-solar-bifacial-solar-panel\/#:~:text=El%20panel%20solar%20bifacial%20de,aumenta%20la%20reflexi%C3%B3n%20de%20luz.\" data-type=\"link\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">electricity generation<\/a><\/strong> on the upper part and the maintenance of the aquaculture activity on the lower part, allowing an efficient exploitation of the land without compromising the productivity of either of the two activities. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.offshore-energy.biz\/dajin-commissions-250-mw-fishery-solar-hybrid-in-china\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.offshore-energy.biz\/dajin-commissions-250-mw-fishery-solar-hybrid-in-china\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">According to Offshore Energy<\/a><\/strong>with this approach, it is estimated that the plant <strong>can produce around 400 million kilowatt-hours per year<\/strong>, which is equivalent to avoiding the consumption of 120,000 tons of coal and reducing CO\u2082 emissions by 320,000 tons.<\/p>\n\n<p>The shade generated by the panels also helps reduce water evaporation and improves the thermal conditions of the aquatic ecosystem, which
