The installed wind turbine marks the start of a key phase in the construction of this mega-project, whose energy will be able to supply more than 1.5 million Polish households. It is expected to be operational in 2026.

A large-scale offshore wind turbine

The model V236 installed stands out for its total height of more than 260 meters and 115-meter-long blades. This vessel was upgraded to lift components weighing up to 1,600 tons and can simultaneously transport three complete turbines. Around 15 vessels are assisting in the offshore activities, which also include foundations, substations and cable laying.

Land preparations and future operations

While the offshore campaign progresses, onshore construction continues on the Łeba substation, which will operate as a maintenance base for the next three decades. In addition to significantly reducing CO₂ emissions, the project lays the groundwork for future offshore wind developments in the region and positions Poland as a major player in the European renewable sector.

Follow us on social networks and don’t miss any of our publications!

YouTube LinkedIn Facebook Instagram X (Twitter) TikTok

Source and photo: Baltic Power

The first 15 MW turbine is already rotating at the Baltic Power marine park, ushering in a new energy era for Poland.

[13026,13044

post-275405","noticias","type-noticias","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","categoria_noticias-energy","categoria_noticias-new-energies
["GET
