Synera Renewable Energy Group (SRE) has selected Century Wind Power (CWP) as the primary foundation<\/strong> supplier for its Formosa 4 offshore wind farm<\/strong>, located off the coast of Miaoli County.<\/p>\n\n

The contract includes the supply of 35 jacket foundations for wind turbines<\/a><\/strong> for wind turbines, as well as the integral management of the foundation package. This choice also demonstrates SRE’s commitment to strengthening its network of local and international suppliers. <\/p>\n\n

Local coordination and regional integration<\/h2>\n\n

Century Wind Power will lead the technical and logistical coordination<\/strong>, integrating Taiwanese manufacturing capabilities<\/a><\/strong> Taiwanese manufacturing capabilities with international resources from the Asia-Pacific region. The main objective is to meet the established deadlines for grid connection and ensure the quality of the structures, in line with industry standards. <\/p>\n\n

Lucas Lin, president of SRE, emphasized that this collaboration with a domestic supplier represents much more than regulatory compliance. <\/p>\n\n

It reinforces our sustainable development model for wind farms and anticipates the growth of the marine ecosystem in Phase 3 of the zonal development.<\/p>\nHe stated.<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n

Formosa 4 leads the progress in Phase 3 of wind power development<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

The Project Formosa 4<\/a><\/strong> was awarded 495 MW of capacity in the first round of Phase 3 auctions, held in 2022, and was the first to receive a permit to establish by the end of 2024. SRE plans to start construction activities<\/a><\/strong> within the regulatory schedule, making Formosa 4 a benchmark for future developments. <\/p>\n\n

For his part, CWP President Wen-Hsiang Lai stressed that the contract consolidates the company’s years of investment and validates its ability to lead the fabrication and assembly of critical structures at its local facilities.<\/p>\n\n

The partnership between SRE and CWP is part of a regional trend that prioritizes strengthening the domestic supply chain as a long-term strategy.
