This contract is part of the <strong>Low Carbon Inertia Services<\/strong><em>(LCIS<\/em>) program, led by transmission system operators <strong>EirGrid <\/strong>and <strong>SONI<\/strong>, focused on reducing carbon-intensive generation. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The integration of renewable energies with advanced technology<\/h2>\n\n<p>The projects are being developed in Glencloosagh<em>(Republic of Ireland<\/em>) and Coleraine<em>(Northern Ireland<\/em>), where <strong>Elecnor<\/strong>, in consortium with its subsidiaries <strong>IQA <\/strong>(UK) and <strong>ESYP <\/strong>(Ireland), will be responsible for the design, supervision and execution of the synchronous condenser systems. These devices are essential to provide inertia, reactive power and short-circuit capacity to a grid increasingly dominated by clean energy.   <\/p>\n\n<p>The capacitors will be supplied by <strong>ANDRITZ<\/strong>, an Austrian technology company. The collaboration between companies from Spain, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Austria strengthens the international dimension of the effort for a robust, low-emission electricity infrastructure. <\/p>\n\n<p>The collaborations include the<strong> electromechanical assembly of the systems<\/strong>, flywheels, and the construction of 220\/15 kV evacuation substations at Glencloosagh and 110\/15 kV at Coleraine. This infrastructure will enable progress towards the 2030 climate targets by facilitating greater penetration of renewable sources into the grid. <\/p>\n\n<p>The implementation of these projects will help Ireland and the United Kingdom increase the security and efficiency of their networks. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/articulo\/types-of-compressors-operation-industry\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"articulo\" data-id=\"269320\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">efficiency of their grids, while decreasing<\/a> <\/strong>while decreasing their dependence on polluting fuels.
