This system is designed to address one of the most complex challenges in today&#8217;s maritime industry: fires originating from electric vehicles. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The launch of the fire extinguishing system<\/h2>\n\n<p>This system, developed in collaboration with <strong>KNUD E. HANSEN<\/strong>, is distinguished by its ability to fight fires in a more efficient and environmentally friendly manner. The brine system acts directly on the battery of electric vehicles. This is achieved by <strong>injecting cold brine <\/strong>directly into the vehicle cabin, cooling the battery cells and limiting the spread of fire.    <\/p>\n\n<p>This approach manages to extinguish the fire while deactivating the battery cells, minimizing the risk of fire reactivation. Tests in the Faroe Islands demonstrated its effectiveness in <strong>extinguishing a fire in an electric vehicle<\/strong> in less than an hour, an improvement over current systems, which can take up to 24 hours to control such fires. <\/p>\n\n<p>With this technology, a simple, low-maintenance and environmentally friendly solution is presented, making it an ideal choice for <strong>RoPAX and RoRo vessels<\/strong>.
