The aerospace company Ursa Major<\/a><\/strong> has signed a $32.9 million contract to manufacture and deliver 16 upgraded Hadley H13 engines to Stratolaunch<\/strong>, a key company in the development of hypersonic vehicles<\/a><\/strong>. This agreement supports the increased pace of testing under strategic defense programs. <\/p>\n\n

Boost for U.S. hypersonic infrastructure<\/h2>\n\n

This contract is part of a broader effort to strengthen the U.S. hypersonic test infrastructure. Dan Jablonsky, CEO of Ursa Major, said the goal is to provide real operational capability in the field, combining speed, scalability and performance. <\/p>\n\n

The Hadley H13 motors<\/a><\/strong> motors are specifically designed to support multiple starts per mission, allowing them to be reused more frequently. This capability significantly reduces the cost per flight and expands the range of test scenarios. <\/p>\n\n

The Hadley’s have been key to successful flights of the Talon-A<\/a><\/strong>Stratolaunch’s hypersonic vehicle. These missions have included sustained flights at speeds in excess of Mach 5<\/a><\/strong>and successful recovery of the vehicle, demonstrating the performance of the engines in demanding operating environments. <\/p>\n\n

The new H13 model represents a technological evolution focused on improving efficiency and reducing costs, fundamental aspects in programs that require rapid adaptability and repetitive execution.<\/p>\n\n

National production with a strategic vision<\/h2>\n\n

The company operates from Colorado and Ohio, where it employs additive manufacturing to accelerate its processes.
