It was built by the Gondan shipyard in Spain, a vessel that represents the company&#8217;s sustainability strategy and the fourth vessel in a series of sister ships designed for emission-free operations. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The technology and integration of the Austri Enabler vessel<\/h2>\n\n<p>This vessel is prepared to operate with a <strong>hydrogen-based propulsion system<\/strong> using <strong>LOHC<\/strong><em>(liquid organic hydride<\/em>) <strong>technology<\/strong>, allowing it to perform its missions with minimal environmental impact.<\/p>\n\n<p>Upon delivery, the vessel secured a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension. In addition, it is expected to start operations in UK waters during the third quarter of 2025, serving as a <strong>logistics platform <\/strong>for the technicians in charge of the start-up and <strong>maintenance of offshore wind turbines<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<p>This new vessel joins its predecessors <em><strong>Nordri<\/strong><\/em>, <em><strong>Sudri<\/strong> <\/em>y <em><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/edda-wind-takes-delivery-of-its-new-zero-emission-csov-vessel-vestri-enable\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"208801\"><strong>Vestri Enabler<\/strong>,<\/a><\/em> completing a family of highly specialized CSOVs. All share a design focused on operational efficiency, with a length of 88.3 meters and capacity for 120 people. <\/p>\n\n<p>Based in Norway, <strong>Edda Wind<\/strong> is a reference in maritime services for offshore wind energy.
