{"id":266611,"date":"2025-06-13T10:18:00","date_gmt":"2025-06-13T14:18:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/noticias\/reach-subsea-adds-usv-reach-remote-2-to-its-commercial-fleet\/"},"modified":"2025-06-13T11:24:23","modified_gmt":"2025-06-13T15:24:23","slug":"reach-subsea-adds-usv-reach-remote-2-to-its-commercial-fleet","status":"publish","type":"noticias","link":"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/reach-subsea-adds-usv-reach-remote-2-to-its-commercial-fleet\/","title":{"rendered":"Reach Subsea adds USV Reach Remote 2 to its commercial fleet"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Following the success of the first prototype, Reach Subsea confirmed the official delivery of its second <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/sea-machines-unmanned-surface-vessel\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/noticias\/sea-machines-buque-superficie-no-tripulado\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">unmanned surface vessel (USV), the Reach Remote 2.<\/a><\/strong> (USV), <strong>the Reach Remote 2.<\/strong> The 24-meter vessel has passed all phases of technical installation, field trials and documentary validation and is now ready for commercial operations. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Subsea technology powered by Reach Remote 2<\/h2>\n\n<p>Reach Remote 2 is a platform equipped with hull-mounted survey sensors and an industrial-class electric ROV. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/kystdesign-signs-contract-with-nioz-for-the-construction-of-the-rov-supporter-6000\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/noticias\/compania-contrato-la-construccion-de-un-rov\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">industrial class electric ROV<\/a><\/strong>. Its design allows it to <strong>perform complex tasks in subsea environments without the need for onboard crew<\/strong>. This autonomous approach significantly improves safety and efficiency, while reducing operating costs and environmental impact.  <\/p>\n\n<p>The previous model, Reach Remote 1, proved its effectiveness in a pilot program conducted in early 2025. That experience validated the concept of operating unmanned vessels for inspection, maintenance and monitoring tasks in the offshore sector. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/hull-cleaning-robot-cleans-in-4h\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/noticias\/robot-para-limpieza-de-cascos-limpia-en-4h\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">inspection, maintenance and monitoring tasks in the offshore sector.<\/a><\/strong>. The incorporation of the second USV responds to the need to expand the operational availability of the fleet.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A model of sustainability applied to marine engineering<\/h2>\n\n<p>One of the central objectives of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/reachsubsea.no\/assets\/reach-remote\/#Information\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/reachsubsea.no\/assets\/reach-remote\/#Information\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Reach Remote<\/a><\/strong> program is to minimize the carbon footprint. With this type of vessel, the company estimates <strong>an emissions reduction of up to 90% <\/strong>compared to conventional manned vessels.
