Named the Defiant Class, this model seeks to address traditional turbine access needs using updated technology, state-of-the-art materials and adaptable propulsion systems. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Defiant Class features<\/h2>\n\n<p>In recent years, the CTV sector has <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/stratcat-27-delivery-completed\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/noticias\/completan-la-entrega-del-stratcat-27\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CTV<\/a><\/strong> industry has focused on large, HS-OSC-compliant vessels, neglecting the construction of smaller units. The Defiant answers that gap, as it is a 20-meter CTV with a flush bow, step-free access and an optimized interior design <strong>that includes separate toilets, galley and modular options for shelving and seating<\/strong>. It complies with Edition 3 of the Workboat Code and IMO Tier 3 emissions requirements.  <\/p>\n\n<p>The Defiant Class is designed to adapt to varying conditions of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/mol-preparation-first-module-carrier-coastal\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/noticias\/mol-prepara-primer-modulo-portador-costero\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">coastal projects<\/a><\/strong>. It can integrate either a Quad IPS system or a Hamilton Waterjet <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hamiltonjet.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.hamiltonjet.com\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hamilton Waterjet<\/a><\/strong>This allows it to operate in shallow water <strong>without compromising power-to-weight ratio or mechanical reliability<\/strong>. Source: Chartwell Marine <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Technical collaboration for older turbines and efficiency<\/h2>\n\n<p>The project is the result of a technical collaboration between Chartwell Marine, NR Marine Services and Diverse Marine. Chartwell&#8217;s Andy Page noted that the new model combines experience in <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/company-un-sov-48-meter-dense-of-a-sov-48-meter-company\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/noticias\/compania-diseno-de-un-sov-de-48-metros\/\">hull design<\/a><\/strong> with a configuration that reduces costs without losing performance. For his part, Richard Thurlow of NR Marine mentioned that the Defiant responds to an internal fleet analysis that reveals a concrete opportunity <strong>to replace 10 to 15 year old vessels<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n\n<p>With the market increasingly focused on operational efficiency and sustainability, the Defiant Class CTV represents a pragmatic and up-to-date solution.
