With the opening of terminal T3<\/strong>, Baltic Hub strengthens its role as a European logistics network and makes the port of Gdansk<\/strong> a world-class reference facility. This expansion increases the hub’s operational capacity and, at the same time, registers its strategic commitment to sustainability and technological innovation. <\/p>\n\n

The capacity and technology of the new T3 terminal<\/h2>\n\n

The T3 terminal<\/em> integrates an area of 36 hectares and a 717-meter quay with a draft of 17.5 meters, specifications that allow it to receive vessels of more than 24,000 TEUs. This infrastructure raises the total capacity of the Baltic Hub <\/strong>from 3 million to 4.5 million TEUs per year, establishing Gdansk among the most important container ports in Europe. <\/p>\n\n

A highlight of the terminal is the availability of 20 automated rail-mounted gantry cranes<\/strong>(RMG<\/em>) and 7 semi-automatic ship-to-shore cranes<\/strong>(STS<\/em>), all electrified. A commitment to state-of-the-art equipment seeks to maximize efficiency, minimize operating times and reduce environmental impact. <\/p>\n\n

Moreover, all machinery runs on green energy <\/strong>and the complex has been built with low-emission materials. These decisions are aligned with the company’s goals: to lower its actual emissions impact by up to 50 % by 2030 and to achieve net zero emissions by 2050. <\/p>\n\n

The preservation of the marine habitat and the integration of clean technologies<\/strong> are also an integral part of the project’s ecological vision. T3 modernizes port infrastructure while promoting a transition to a more environmentally friendly logistics model. <\/p>\n\n

The increase in logistics capacity will have a direct effect on the economy of Central and Eastern Europe. Through its intermodal connectivity, Baltic Hub<\/a><\/strong> will improve the distribution of goods to the continent’s inland markets, strengthening its role as a hub between global shipping routes and the European rail network. <\/p>\n\n

The terminal represents a major strategic investment by its partners: PSA International, IFM Investors<\/strong> and the Polish Development Fund<\/strong>(PFR<\/em>). These organizations highlight the value of the Baltic Hub as a catalyst <\/em>for regional growth and ensure its integration into future energy infrastructures. <\/p>\n\n
