{"id":264607,"date":"2025-06-09T16:05:52","date_gmt":"2025-06-09T20:05:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/?p=264607"},"modified":"2025-06-09T16:09:49","modified_gmt":"2025-06-09T20:09:49","slug":"ampp-receives-a-grant-gates-foundation","status":"publish","type":"noticias","link":"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/ampp-receives-a-grant-gates-foundation\/","title":{"rendered":"AMPP Awarded Gates Foundation Grant to AdvanceWorkforce Development in Maritime and Technical Trades"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Textual note taken from Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP) on Jun 9, 2025<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ampp.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP)<\/a>, the leading global authority in corrosion control and protective coatings,\u00a0has been selected as one of only six organizations nationwide to receive a grant from the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gatesfoundation.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bill &amp; Melinda Gates Foundation<\/a>, as part of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/credentialengine.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Credential Engine\u2019s<\/a>\u00a0second round of subgrantees working to improve education-to-workforce pathways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through this grant, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/ampp-fusion-bonded-epoxy-coatingcourse\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AMPP<\/a><\/strong> will support the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/maritimejobsva.com\/training\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Regional Maritime Training System (RMTS)<\/a>\u00a0in Hampton Roads, Virginia\u2014home to the fastest-growing port on the East Coast\u2014where employers must fill more than 11,000 critical trade positions. In collaboration with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.odu.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Old Dominion University (ODU)<\/a>, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theworkforcecouncil.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hampton Roads Workforce Council (HRWC)<\/a>, and other regional partners, AMPP will publish data on its industry-recognized technical standards, competency frameworks, credentials, and assessments into the Credential Registry, increasing transparency and accessibility for both learners and employers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Receiving this grant is both a tremendous honor and a critical opportunity.
