This achievement marks a before and after in energy export logistics. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/oneok-and-mplx-partner-to-build-lpg-export-terminal-in-texas\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/noticias\/oneok-y-la-terminal-de-exportacion-de-glp\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">energy export logistics for the United States.<\/a><\/strong> for the United States. <\/p>\n\n<p>With a total investment of $625 million, the channel now <strong>reaches 54 feet deep and 530 feet wide<\/strong>, allowing bi-directional transit of deep-draft vessels and additional barges. The change was designed to meet the growing international demand for energy and facilitate safer and more efficient operations. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Inter-institutional coordination and blended financing<\/h2>\n\n<p>The Canal Improvement Project was jointly sponsored by the U.S. Congress and the Port of Corpus Christi. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/posts\/port-of-corpus-christi_port-of-corpus-christi-completes-milestone-activity-7335327859583918080-xwOS?utm_source=share&amp;utm_medium=member_desktop&amp;rcm=ACoAAEKYikgBjygh5GpRtttit6tTS7TQvMcSdSs\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/posts\/port-of-corpus-christi_port-of-corpus-christi-completes-milestone-activity-7335327859583918080-xwOS?utm_source=share&amp;utm_medium=member_desktop&amp;rcm=ACoAAEKYikgBjygh5GpRtttit6tTS7TQvMcSdSs\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Port of Corpus Christi<\/a><\/strong>with key support from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and private maritime partners. This public-private partnership is presented as an implementation model for future port infrastructure projects. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/articulo\/technology-effect-on-maritime-ports\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/articulo\/tecnologia-en-puertos-maritimos-del-futuro\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">port infrastructure projects<\/a><\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Logistical and economic impact<\/h2>\n\n<p>Thanks to the new configuration of the canal, the port strengthens its role as the main outbound route for <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/articulo\/industrial-refining-processes-oil\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/articulo\/procesos-industriales-de-refinacion-petroleo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">crude oil and liquefied natural gas<\/a><\/strong> and liquefied natural gas produced in key regions such as Eagle Ford and the Permian Basin. This improvement reduces annual transportation costs by more than $200 million. <\/p>\n\n<p>The project has also acted as a catalyst for attracting investment, generating more than $65 billion in private capital over the past decade.
