The repair work on the <a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/video-tv\/cable-submarino-mas-largo-del-mundo-de-meta\/\" data-type=\"video-tv\" data-id=\"230622\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>submarine cable<\/strong><\/a>which was damaged in December 2024, is progressing rapidly and under favorable sea conditions. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Reopening of EstLink 2 connection<\/h2>\n\n<p>Since May, <strong>maintenance work<\/strong> has involved the replacement of approximately one kilometer of the damaged cable. This intervention is the result of close collaboration between the parties involved, including maritime authorities, who have ensured a safe place for the work in an area of intense maritime activity. <\/p>\n\n<p>Once the repair work has been completed, extensive testing will be carried out to <strong>validate the correct operation<\/strong> of the electrical connection. Only after this certification, EstLink 2 will be available for commercial power transmission again. <\/p>\n\n<p>The early <strong>recovery of EstLink 2 <\/strong>is essential to ensure stability and energy exchange between Finland and Estonia.
