FedEx has begun operating with sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) supplied by Neste<\/strong><\/a> (SAF) supplied by Neste at Los Angeles International Airport, setting a new course toward decarbonizing its U.S. air transportation network.<\/p>\n\n

Start of a strategic supply at LAX<\/h2>\n\n

Since May 2025, Neste has begun delivering to FedEx a fuel blend that includes a minimum of 30% pure SAF<\/strong>. This partnership involves the supply of 8,800 metric tons, exceeding three million gallons, representing about 20% of the company’s annual fuel consumption at LAX. The agreement will remain in effect for one year. <\/p>\n\n

This supply is part of FedEx’s sustainability strategy, which aims to achieve carbon-neutral operations by 2040. The cargo airline is committing to the use of low-carbon fuels as a viable alternative to reduce emissions across its global network. <\/p>\n\n
