Purus has made official the naming of its service operations vessel, Purus Chinook, at a ceremony held on May 8 in London. This hybrid CSOV<\/a><\/strong> of VARD 4 19 design marks a further step forward in the company’s decarbonization strategy. <\/p>\n\n

A new stage for services in offshore wind farms<\/h2>\n\n

During the event, representatives from Vard, Vestas, DNV and members of the UK government acknowledged the role of the Purus Chinook<\/a><\/strong> in strengthening the offshore infrastructure for wind energy. wind energy<\/a><\/strong> in Europe. Hybrid CSOV designed for crewing in demanding environments<\/h2>\n\n

Accommodating 120 people, the CSOV offers hotel-grade cabins and common areas, as well as integrated fitness areas and workspaces. Its structure includes an 18-meter helideck<\/strong>, 3D compensated crane and a Chartwell support vessel, manufactured by Diverse Marine in the UK. <\/p>\n\n

Purus Chinook is the first unit in a series of vessels designed to drive cleaner shipping. clean shipping in the offshore<\/a><\/strong> in the offshore sector. Its twin, the Purus Coriolis<\/strong>, is scheduled to enter service in 2026.
