{"id":258377,"date":"2025-05-23T15:46:35","date_gmt":"2025-05-23T19:46:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/noticias\/seatrium-wins-fsru-conversion-contract-from-hoegh-evi-in-norway\/"},"modified":"2025-05-23T23:13:12","modified_gmt":"2025-05-24T03:13:12","slug":"seatrium-wins-fsru-conversion-contract-from-hoegh-evi-in-norway","status":"publish","type":"noticias","link":"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/seatrium-wins-fsru-conversion-contract-from-hoegh-evi-in-norway\/","title":{"rendered":"Seatrium wins FSRU conversion contract from H\u00f6egh Evi in Norway"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The marine engineering group, <strong>Seatrium Limited<\/strong>, has been selected by Norwegian operator <strong>H\u00f6egh Evi<\/strong> to lead the conversion of the <strong>LNG carrier Hoegh Gandria<\/strong> into a floating storage and regasification unit<em>(FSRU<\/em>), a project that will consolidate its presence in the international energy sector.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Signing of the FSRU conversion agreement<\/h2>\n\n<p>This contract was recently awarded and covers the integral modification of the <strong>Hoegh Gandria<\/strong><strong> liquefied natural gas<\/strong><em>(LNG<\/em>)<strong> transporter<\/strong>. This process includes the installation of a regasification module, together with the integration of cargo handling, auxiliary, electrical and automation systems. The technical intervention will also extend the vessel&#8217;s useful life.  <\/p>\n\n<p>All engineering work is scheduled to begin in May 2025, with an estimated duration of 18 months. Once completed, the converted vessel will be deployed at the<strong> LNG terminal<\/strong> in the <strong>port of Sumed<\/strong>, Egypt, under a lease agreement between <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/terminal-flotante-importara-hidrogeno-2030\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"205924\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">H\u00f6egh Evi<\/a><\/strong> and the Egyptian state-owned company <strong>EGAS<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n<p>On the other hand, specialized in floating energy solutions with more than five decades of experience, this alliance represents the continuity of a strategic relationship.
