Cadeler <\/strong>has confirmed the acquisition of the self-elevating vessel Boqiang 3060<\/strong>, soon to be renamed Wind Keeper<\/em>. With this addition, the company intensifies its fleet expansion strategy to offer specialized operations and maintenance(O&M)<\/em> services for offshore wind turbines. <\/p>\n\n

This platform is equipped with high-end European components, such as a Huisman crane<\/strong> with a lifting capacity of 2,200 tons, a Kongsberg<\/strong> DP2 dynamic positioning system<\/strong> with main engines from MAN Energy Solutions<\/a><\/strong> and propulsion technology from Siemens. These specifications make it a platform technically suitable for maintenance operations in the most challenging offshore environments. <\/p>\n\n

On the other hand, the company will take delivery of the vessel in the third quarter of 2025, after investing in upgrades that will enable it to support turbine installations of up to 15 MW.<\/strong> Although the acquisition was closed at a price below the estimated replacement cost, they are evaluating the final investment required for full operation. <\/p>\n\n

The financing was fully covered by a credit facility with DNB Bank ASA<\/strong>, on terms considered attractive by the company’s financial management.<\/p>\n\n
