The facility is located in Shoal Point, Texas, and is designed to supply clean marine fuel to a fleet of ships. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Regulatory developments at LNG bunkering port<\/h2>\n\n<p>The U. <strong>S. Army Corps of Engineers<\/strong> has issued the Section 408 and 404\/10 approvals, while the Coast Guard has provided the Letter of Recommendation for Waterway Suitability Assessment. With this, the Galveston <strong>LNG Bunker Port<\/strong> of Galveston<em>(GLBP<\/em>) completes the required permitting to move toward a final investment decision, expected in mid-2025. <\/p>\n\n<p>These authorizations are in addition to those obtained from the <strong>Texas Railroad Commission<\/strong> and the state&#8217;s <strong>Commission on Environmental Quality<\/strong>. In addition, the company estimates that operations will begin in the second half of 2027. <\/p>\n\n<p>The GLBP is located on the <strong>Texas City Ship Channel<\/strong>, establishing it as a strategic node to serve the maritime traffic of the ports of Houston, Galveston and Texas City.
