This week saw the start of assembly of the first of three wind turbines for the <strong>\u00c9oliennes Flottantes du Golfe du Lion<\/strong><em>(EFGL<\/em>) project. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A coordinated operation for the EFGL project<\/h2>\n\n<p>Towed from the Grand Port Maritime de Marseille, the first float arrived at the port location, coordinated by <strong>Eiffage M\u00e9tal and Smulders<\/strong>. In the coming days, the sections that make up the turbine, such as the <em>mast<\/em>, <em>nacelle <\/em>and <em>blades<\/em>, will be assembled on the floating structure directly at the wind terminal. <\/p>\n\n<p>Each wind turbine at the wind farm will have <strong>a capacity of 10 megawatts<\/strong>, making them the most powerful installed in France on floating platforms. Once assembly of the three units has been completed, they are scheduled to be transferred to the sea in June. <\/p>\n\n<p>This project mobilizes a complex network of industrial and logistics players. The company <a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/ocean-winds-installs-biohuts-at-the-efgl-wind-farm\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"249067\"><strong>OW Ocean Winds<\/strong><\/a> is coordinating the initiative, supported by <strong>Euroports <\/strong>in port logistics, <strong>Mammoet <\/strong>in lifting and transport solutions, and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/vestas-exceeds-1-gw-in-orders-for-superior-onshore-wind-turbines-in-germany\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Vestas<\/a><\/strong> as the turbine manufacturer.
