The alliance between RVL Aviation<\/strong> and ZeroAvia<\/strong> will enable the start of the world’s first zero-emission air cargo service using hydrogen propulsion technology. The ZA600 system will be responsible for transforming hydrogen into electricity to power electric motors. <\/p>\n\n

RVL Aviation and ZeroAvia alliance to boost zero-emission flights<\/h2>\n\n

The aircraft selected for this first stage is the Cessna Grand Caravan 208B<\/strong>, upgraded to operate with the ZA600 system.<\/em> This hydrogen electric engine emits water vapor, and is in the process of being certified by the UK Civil Aviation Authority. UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).<\/strong><\/strong><\/a>(CAA<\/em>). RVL Aviation, an aircraft operator based at East Midlands Airport, will be the first to operate these flights once technical upgrades and staff training have been completed. <\/p>\n\n

With more than a thousand similar aircraft operating cargo routes worldwide, the potential for expansion of the ZA600 system <\/strong>is highly favorable. ZeroAvia estimates that its implementation could reduce up to 90% of the climate impact on regional air operations, while lowering operating costs due to reduced maintenance and fuel savings. <\/p>\n\n

RVL joins this improvement with the financial and technological backing of MONTE<\/strong>, a firm dedicated exclusively to accelerating the transition to net-zero emissions in aviation. The joint plan envisions future operations with sustainable turboprops, depending on initial results. <\/p>\n\n

Meanwhile, ZeroAvia has completed successful tests with its system on a Dornier 228 aircraft.<\/strong> Meanwhile, its most advanced technology, the ZA2000 system<\/strong>, is in the testing phase for regional aircraft with up to 80 passengers. <\/p>\n\n

RVL Aviation, with more than four decades of experience in surveillance, charter and special operations services, is looking to integrate this new propulsion solution into its existing network. In addition, its main objective is to become a European benchmark in sustainable air operations. <\/p>\n\n
