Petrobras has confirmed a new discovery of oil with no impurities in the Santos Basin pre-salt layer<\/strong>, reaffirming its leadership in deepwater hydrocarbon exploration, reaffirming its leadership<\/a><\/strong>. Drilling has been completed and, according to Petrobras, electrical profiles, gas traces and fluid sampling support the existence of hydrocarbons. Laboratory analyses are currently being carried out <\/strong>that will allow a more precise characterization of both the reservoirs and the fluid’s properties.<\/p>\n\n

Exploration with a long-term vision<\/h2>\n\n

As part of the Discovery Appraisal Plan (PAD), Petrobras and its partners plan to drill two additional wells and conduct a formation test in the same area. This plan, which will be in effect until 2027, will allow for the collection of technical data that will define the region’s commercial potential. <\/p>\n\n
