This facility, located in the Antofagasta region of Chile, marks a firm step towards a more modern and sustainable electricity matrix. <\/p>\n\n<p>With 200 MW of installed capacity and a storage capacity of 800 MWh, this BESS is designed to capture surplus solar energy. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/hornet-solars-solar-energy-project-to-boost-texas-renewable-energy\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"242034\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">surplus solar energy<\/a><\/strong> during peak production hours and redistribute it at times of high demand. Source: Atlas Renewable Energy <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Clean energy to boost electric transportation<\/h2>\n\n<p>The partnership with Emoac led to the closing of a 15-year <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.energiaestrategica.com\/se-inaugura-el-primer-sistema-bess-stand-alone-a-gran-escala-de-chile-y-latinoamerica\/#\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.energiaestrategica.com\/se-inaugura-el-primer-sistema-bess-stand-alone-a-gran-escala-de-chile-y-latinoamerica\/#\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">a 15-year power purchase agreement (PPA), with a large part of the energy<\/a><\/strong>The alliance with Emoac led to a 15-year PPA, with a large part of the stored energy being used to promote electric transportation. With more than 27 electric filling stations and approximately 2,500 electric buses <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/india-insert-10-000-electric-buses\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"95844\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">electric buses<\/a><\/strong> Chile is consolidating its position as a benchmark for sustainable mobility in the region. <\/p>\n\n<p>During the construction of the project, Atlas Renewable <strong>generated close to 200 local jobs<\/strong>, with 25% female participation, reaffirming its commitment to social development and gender equity.<\/p>\n\n<p>Carlos Barrera, co-founder and CEO of Atlas Renewable, emphasizes that the real challenge today is not to demonstrate the viability of renewable energies, but to implement them at the pace the world needs.
