This wind farm will be the largest of its kind in the country, with a capacity of 1.1 GW, capable of supplying over one million homes with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/companies-join-forces-to-boost-renewable-energy-in-the-united-states\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"247415\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">renewable energy<\/a><\/strong> . <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Progress at the Thor wind farm<\/h2>\n\n<p>To date, <strong>EEW SPC has delivered 15 of the 36 monopiles<\/strong> required to support the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/vattenfall-and-its-partners-transform-wind-turbine-blades-into-sustainable-skis\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"242527\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">offshore wind turbines<\/a><\/strong> . These monopiles, which measure 82 meters in length and weigh 1,300 tons each, feature their innovative transition piece (TP)-free design, allowing the towers to be mounted directly onto the support bases, eliminating the need for additional elements. <\/p>\n\n<p>The delivery and loading of these monopiles are underway at the Port of Rostock, <strong>with the goal of completing the remaining shipments by mid-2025<\/strong> .
