The energy company Q ENERGY has taken another step toward consolidating its position in the Spanish solar market by beginning construction on three new photovoltaic plants<\/a> in the south of the country<\/strong> . These facilities, located in Seville, Ja\u00e9n, and C\u00f3rdoba, have a combined capacity exceeding 200 MWp. <\/p>\n\n

Energy and technological impact of new solar plants<\/h2>\n\n

With capacities of 105 MWp, 73 MWp, and 26 MWp respectively, the solar parks will cover more than 450 hectares in total<\/strong> . They are designed to supply electricity to more than 92,000 homes, significantly contributing to the reduction of over 62,000 tons of CO\u2082 emissions annually. Q ENERGY acts as the developer and is responsible for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) work, reinforcing its role in the region’s energy transition<\/a><\/strong> . <\/p>\n\n

During the installation phase , more than 350,000 solar modules will be deployed<\/strong> on mobile structures with trackers, thus optimizing energy collection performance. This technology increases solar production<\/a><\/strong> by adapting the tilt of the panels to the movement of the sun, improving the system’s daily efficiency. <\/p>\n\n

Regional projection and future of the company<\/h2>\n\n

In addition to these three parks, the company already has four other solar projects underway in different locations in Andalusia. All are expected to be operational by the second half of 2026<\/a><\/strong> , reaching a total capacity in the region of nearly 400 MWp<\/strong> . Eduardo de la Hera, development director of Q ENERGY Iberia, highlighted the solid pipeline of projects in the execution phase and the active preparation of future plants. <\/p>\n\n
