Poland’s offshore wind energy<\/a><\/strong> industry has just received a significant boost with the Baltic Power<\/strong> offshore wind farm. This project, based on a collaboration between ORLEN<\/strong> and Northland Power<\/strong> , has achieved the first design conformity certificates<\/strong> for its offshore turbines and substations. <\/p>\n\n

The design and construction of the Polish offshore wind farm<\/h2>\n\n

Obtaining the certificates paves the way for the wind farm’s construction phase<\/strong> . According to the Maritime Safety Law<\/strong> and the Law for the Promotion of Electricity Generation from Offshore Wind Farms<\/strong> , these certificates must be submitted before construction work begins, ensuring compliance with international safety and operating regulations. <\/p>\n\n

The certification validates the turbine and substation designs<\/strong> , while ensuring that the wind farm can operate in the local Baltic Sea<\/strong> conditions throughout its entire lifespan. This process is overseen by DNV<\/a><\/strong> , an international certification body that ensures compliance with international standards. <\/p>\n\n
