Exploration drilling conducted in December last year revealed the well is located at a depth of 1,250 meters and has an estimated production capacity of 1,200 barrels of oil per day. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The new oil field in Hungary<\/h2>\n\n<p>Over the past few years, MOL has made several important discoveries in Hungary, increasing <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/equinor-descubre-petroleo-y-gas-cerca-fram\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"205985\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">oil and natural gas production<\/a><\/strong> in areas such as Vecs\u00e9s and Tura, which has allowed it to reach its highest national production in the last five years. According to Dr. Gy\u00f6rgy Bacsa, Chief Operating Officer of MOL Hungary, this new field will be crucial to increasing oil reserves and minimizing the country&#8217;s dependence on crude oil imports. <\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>I am proud to announce that, following the exploratory successes of recent years, we have discovered a new oil field, this time in the Transdanubian region, where we last discovered oil more than a decade ago.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>  The success of the B\u00e1zakerettye concession, which boasts a nearly 100-year oil-producing tradition, clearly demonstrates that there is still potential for hydrocarbon exploration in Hungary.<\/em><\/p>\n<cite>Zsombor Marton, Executive Vice President of Exploration and Production at MOL Group<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n<p>This new well will be transported to the <strong>Danube refinery<\/strong> in Sz\u00e1zhalombatta, representing approximately 1% of MOL&#8217;s total hydrocarbon production.
