Thyssenkrupp Uhde<\/strong> has been selected to participate in a biomass conversion project developed by Elyse Energy<\/strong> in France. This project focuses on efficiency and sustainability, using advanced technology to convert forest residues and biomass into renewable fuels, contributing to the decarbonization of the aeronautical sector. <\/p>\n\n

The biomass conversion project into SAF<\/h2>\n\n

The initiative, dubbed BioTJet<\/strong> , aims to produce SAF<\/a><\/strong> from wood residues and other biogenic waste. This development responds to the demand for sustainable aviation fuels and remains aligned with the European Union’s objectives, which set a 70% SAF quota<\/strong> by 2050. To achieve this, Thyssenkrupp Uhde’s PRENFLO gasification<\/strong> technology converts biomass into valuable synthesis gas, an essential element for the creation of these biofuels. <\/p>\n\n

The BioTfueL technology<\/strong> , which will be applied in this project, integrates biomass gasification with the addition of green hydrogen to produce renewable fuel. This approach is a clear example of how technological innovation can contribute to the transition to cleaner energy sources. In this context, the E-BioTfueL concept, which uses biomass suitable for producing advanced biofuels<\/strong> and e-fuels<\/a><\/strong> , is emerging as a comprehensive solution for the production of sustainable fuels for both the aviation and ground transportation sectors. <\/p>\n\n

The success of this project depends on the collaboration between several actors, including Axens<\/strong> and Elyse Energy<\/strong> . For example, Axens<\/em> , a company specializing in solutions for converting biomass into cleaner fuels, and Elyse Energy<\/em> , an innovative French SME dedicated to the production of low-carbon molecules, have worked together to implement the necessary technologies.
