Energy Vault, a leading sustainable energy storage company, has advanced its “Own & Operate” growth strategy with the award of a Long Term Energy Service Agreement (LTESA)<\/strong> for the Stoney Creek BESS battery storage system<\/a><\/strong> in New South Wales, Australia. This 14-year agreement, delivered by AEMO Services, strengthens grid reliability and supports the state’s energy transition. <\/p>\n\n

Stoney Creek BESS, developed in partnership with Enervest, will have a capacity of 125 MW and 1.0 GWh<\/strong> , establishing itself as one of the largest long-duration storage systems in the country. Its role will be critical in balancing renewable energy generation and improving the resilience of the Australian electricity system. <\/p>\n\n

The strategic location in Narrabri will enable efficient connection to the electricity grid, optimizing the integration of renewable sources and contributing to the stability of the energy market. Furthermore, the project will boost the local economy by creating 150 jobs during construction and four permanent operational positions. <\/p>\n\n

With all regulatory approvals in place, the project is poised to begin pre-construction activities this year. The Stoney Creek BESS<\/a><\/strong> will play a key role in reducing dependence on fossil fuels<\/a><\/strong> , stabilizing prices, and strengthening the electricity supply.<\/p>\n\n
