This capital, obtained through an agreement led by Firstime Credit and Deutsche Bank Private Credit & Infrastructure, will serve to expand its emissions capture technology and continue its carbon capture trials in collaboration with Seabound, a leader in onboard CO2 capture solutions.

Towards the goal of maritime carbon capture

With this financial boost, STAX Engineering is now closer to its goal of capturing 1% of global greenhouse gas emissions . The company has already demonstrated the potential of its technology by conducting successful trials at the Port of Los Angeles, where its carbon dioxide capture system has shown promising results.

The deployment of this technology is expected to be expanded on a large scale before the end of 2025, marking a major advance in the maritime industry .

In parallel to this funding, STAX Engineering has signed multi-year agreements with companies such as ZIM Integrated Shipping Services and Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (K-Line). These new contracts further expand the company’s presence in the maritime transport sector, a key step in consolidating its role as a leader in environmental compliance. Companies such as Shell, Toyota and Hyundai GLOVIS have also placed their trust in STAX technology, underlining the growing demand for cleaner and more sustainable emissions solutions in the maritime industry.

Successful tests at the Port of Los Angeles

The carbon capture trials, which are already underway, integrate Seabound’s innovative solutions with STAX’s emissions control system. Once the exhaust gases are filtered by STAX’s technology, the pollutants are sent through Seabound’s carbon capture unit, where both CO2 and sulfur are isolated and stored. This collaboration is setting a new standard for decarbonizing the maritime industry, which has historically been one of the most difficult sectors to decarbonize.

With an eye toward a cleaner, more sustainable future, STAX Engineering is taking carbon capture technology beyond the maritime sector, evaluating its implementation in new sectors, such as data centers. The company is committed to developing technological solutions that can reduce greenhouse gas emissions across various industries and advance global decarbonization.

Through these partnerships and advancements, STAX Engineering is leading the way to a new era of sustainability in shipping and beyond, establishing a future with reduced emissions and cleaner air.

Follow us on social media and don’t miss any of our posts!

YouTube LinkedIn Facebook Instagram X (Twitter) TikTok

Source and photo: STAX Engineering

[13026,13048

post-234383","noticias","type-noticias","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","categoria_noticias-energy","categoria_noticias-maritime
["GET
