This advance strengthens the adoption of alternative fuels in global maritime transport. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The first tests of the two-stroke ammonia engine<\/h2>\n\n<p>The prototype, named <strong>MAN B&amp;W 7S60ME-LGIA (-Liquid Gas Injection Ammonia) Mk 10.5<\/strong> , has entered testing at the Tamano plant in Japan. The 60-inch bore engine is designed to run on ammonia.
