In total, <strong>29 wells are planned to be drilled<\/strong> , of which <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.worldoil.com\/news\/2025\/2\/21\/cnooc-starts-production-from-luda-5-2-north-oilfield\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.worldoil.com\/news\/2025\/2\/21\/cnooc-starts-production-from-luda-5-2-north-oilfield\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">28 will be for production<\/a><\/strong> and one will be a water source well, according to the World Oil portal. <\/p>\n\n<p>Phase II of the project introduces innovations in jet pump injection and production, optimizing heavy oil extraction and improving operational efficiency. These technological improvements seek to maximize the performance and profitability of the field in the medium term. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Production and development at Luda 5-2 North<\/h2>\n\n<p>According to the company&#8217;s estimates, the field will reach its peak production in 2026, with approximately <strong>6,700 barrels of oil equivalent per day<\/strong> .
