With this alliance, both entities seek to promote research and application of technologies for the production of these sustainable fuels. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Biogas and biomethane production<\/h2>\n\n<p>The agreement establishes a framework for cooperation to <strong>improve the efficiency of biogas production<\/strong> through anaerobic digestion and the valorisation of organic waste. It also aims to optimise the processes for converting <strong>agro-food waste<\/strong> into renewable gas, as well as exploring new applications in the chemical and environmental industries. <\/p>\n\n<p>In addition, <strong>AEBIG<\/strong> and <strong>AINIA<\/strong> will work on the development of advanced technologies for the <strong>purification of biogas<\/strong> and its <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/articulo\/waste-treatment-and-energy-generation\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"articulo\" data-id=\"188986\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">conversion into high-quality biomethane<\/a><\/strong> . New methods for the use of digestate for agricultural purposes and the implementation of solutions for the bioconversion of CO\u2082 into additional methane through innovative processes will also be studied. <\/p>\n\n<p>Since its foundation in 2009, <strong>AEBIG<\/strong> has promoted biogas as a renewable energy source in Spain. It also represents many stakeholders in the sector, from plant developers and promoters to technology companies and research centres. Its work focuses on promoting favourable regulations, participating in international forums and <strong>encouraging investment in biogas infrastructure<\/strong> .  <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>AINIA<\/strong> is also a leader in biogas research and development with more than 20 years of experience. It has led innovative projects such as <strong>UPBIOMET+<\/strong> , focused on improving the efficiency of anaerobic digestion to increase biomethane production.
