The Agogo FPSO<\/strong> has been officially christened in a ceremony held at the Cosco Shipping Heavy Industry<\/strong> shipyard in Shanghai, China. The floating production, storage and offloading ( FPSO<\/em> ) platform is now preparing to depart for Angola, where it will operate in Block 15\/06<\/strong> under a 15-year contract with Azule Energy<\/strong> , with an option to extend for an additional five years. This agreement has an estimated value of US$5.3 billion. <\/p>\n\n

A special ceremony for the FPSO Agogo<\/h2>\n\n

The event was attended by figures from the energy sector, including Evelise Neto Azevedo, the ship\u2019s godmother,<\/em> Jos\u00e9 Alexandre Barroso, Angola\u2019s Secretary of State for Oil and Gas<\/em> , and Paulino Fernando Jeronimo, Director General of Angola\u2019s National Agency for Oil, Gas and Biofuels<\/em> . Also present were Adriano Mongini, CEO of Azule Energy<\/strong> , and Flemming Gr\u00f8nnegaard, CEO of Yinson Production<\/strong> , among other industry representatives. <\/p>\n\n

The Agogo FPSO is on a mission to incorporate advanced carbon reduction technologies, aligned with Yinson Production<\/a><\/strong> \u2019s goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2030. These innovations include a closed flare system<\/strong> , hydrocarbon blanketing<\/strong> and a post-combustion carbon capture system<\/strong> \u2013 the first of its kind on an FPSO. <\/p>\n\n
