Emilsen Fisk and Alotta have installed the world\u2019s northernmost floating solar farm<\/strong> in B\u00e5fjordstranda, Norway. The project aims to reduce dependence on diesel generators<\/a><\/strong> , which currently power 40% of Norwegian fish farms. These generators, although necessary, represent a significant source of carbon emissions and high operating costs. <\/p>\n\n

To address this issue, Emilsen Fisk, in collaboration with Alotta, is implementing the Alotta Solar Hybrid 120 solar hybrid system. Combining solar power<\/a><\/strong> with traditional energy sources such as diesel generators, this system will provide a cleaner and more economical solution for aquaculture operations. <\/p>\n\n

With the support of the Enova climate and energy fund, which covers up to 45% of the project costs, the effort seeks to consolidate the aquaculture industry as an example of energy transition towards cleaner sources.<\/p>\n\n

The Alotta Solar Hybrid 120<\/a><\/strong> system has been designed to meet the challenges of extreme maritime conditions and ensure a constant power supply even during periods of bad weather<\/strong> .
