ACCIONA Energ\u00eda has successfully completed the installation of all the wind turbines<\/strong> at the Forty Mile wind farm, located in Bow Island, Alberta, Canada. This progress marks an important step in the construction of the park, which already has 14 of its 49 turbines connected to the electricity grid, equivalent to 80 MW in operation. This energy is already being supplied to the province of Alberta. <\/p>\n\n

49 wind turbines to promote clean energy<\/h2>\n\n

The wind farm<\/a><\/strong> , consisting of 49 Nordex Delta4000<\/a><\/strong> turbines, has a total installed capacity of 280 MW. Each turbine has a capacity of 5.7 MW and a tower height of 108 meters, making it one of the largest projects of its kind in Canada<\/strong> . When fully operational, the park will generate enough electricity to power more than 85,000 homes in the region. <\/p>\n\n

In total, more than 250 workers have been involved in the construction of the park, facing extreme temperature conditions, which reached -29\u02daC. Thanks to rigorous safety protocols<\/a><\/strong> and a specialized work plan for winter, the team has managed to advance safely and efficiently in the development of the project. <\/p>\n\n

The connection of the remaining turbines is currently underway and the wind farm is expected to be fully operational in spring 2025.<\/strong> This is a further step in ACCIONA’s commitment to the transition towards clean and sustainable energy. <\/p>\n\n
