This <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/third-eolian-marine-park-in-germany\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"167197\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">offshore wind farm<\/a><\/strong> , the first of its kind in Poland, aims to transform the country\u2019s energy landscape by providing a clean and renewable source of electricity. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Construction underway in the Baltic Sea<\/h2>\n\n<p>Since January, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/turbine-installation-zhong-neng-park\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"181889\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">foundation works<\/a><\/strong> have started offshore, with the installation of the first monopiles, which will serve as the foundation for the 15 MW turbines. Source: Northland Power<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n<p>The steel structures, which reach up to 100 metres in length and weigh around 1,700 tonnes, are fixed to the seabed by a specialised crane with a lifting capacity of 4,500 tonnes. This modernisation allows the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/meygen-tidal-turbines-project\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"195312\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">installation of large turbines<\/a><\/strong> , optimising the generation of offshore wind energy in the region. <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Key infrastructure for the energy transition<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p>The development of Baltic Power is part of Poland\u2019s decarbonisation strategy, with a projected capacity of <strong>1.2 GW that will cover around 3% of national energy demand<\/strong> . The electricity generated is estimated to supply more than 1.5 million households and contribute to the reduction of approximately 2.8 million tonnes of CO\u2082 annually. <\/p>\n\n<p>In addition to the foundations, the next phase involves the installation of transition elements, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/corals-under-the-offshore-wind-turbines\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"70340\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">offshore wind turbines<\/a><\/strong> and submarine connection cables. In parallel, the construction of the onshore infrastructure is progressing, with a substation in Osieki L\u0119borskie and operating bases in \u0141eba. The onshore connections <strong>are already 65% complete and the work is expected to be completed in 2026<\/strong> .  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>International cooperation and operational security<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>The partnership between <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.orlen.pl\/en\/about-the-company\/media\/press-releases\/2025\/February-2025\/ORLEN-and-Northland-Power-Commence-Construction-of-Polands-First-Offshore-Wind-Farm\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.orlen.pl\/en\/about-the-company\/media\/press-releases\/2025\/February-2025\/ORLEN-and-Northland-Power-Commence-Construction-of-Polands-First-Offshore-Wind-Farm\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ORLEN Group and Northland Power<\/a><\/strong> has been key to driving this pioneering project. Both companies have worked closely with public administrations and international suppliers to ensure safety and efficiency at each stage of construction. <\/p>\n\n<p>Baltic Power\u2019s Offshore Coordination Centre monitors operations 24\/7, ensuring that weather conditions do not affect the development of the park.
