This advancement, presented at the company\u2019s 25th Annual Meeting in Florence, Italy, marks a milestone in the electrification of offshore operations, providing a more efficient, reliable and carbon-efficient solution. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Innovation in offshore drilling operations  <\/h2>\n\n<p>Baker Hughes\u2019 new <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/submarines-loggerhead-efficiency-submarine\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"201088\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">electric subsea system<\/a><\/strong> is the first of its kind in the industry. Designed for both deep and shallow water developments, this modular system allows for the <strong>conversion of existing technologies to 100% electric operation<\/strong> .   <\/p>\n\n<p>This system is intended to improve the efficiency of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/shell-partners-with-nauticus-robotics-for-autonomous-subsea-operations\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"47180\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">marine operations<\/a><\/strong> , particularly in carbon capture, storage and utilization projects, and in long-range installations. The elimination of hydraulic components facilitates the installation process, and reduces the time and costs associated with marine infrastructure. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key technologies for land and marine electrification  <\/h2>\n\n<p>On land, Baker Hughes has introduced the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bakerhughes.com\/es\/node\/181006\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.bakerhughes.com\/es\/node\/181006\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hummingbird electric cementing unit<\/a><\/strong> , a solution that replaces diesel engines with a combination of grid power and batteries. This innovative system reduces emissions and noise, while improving operational reliability. <\/p>\n\n<p>  Thanks to its electric design, Hummingbird allows operators to reduce costs and improve the consistency of cementing operations in a variety of field conditions.<\/p>\n\n<p>Additionally, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dam.bakerhughes.com\/m\/1e715c5aa2e35139\/original\/SureCONTROL-Plus-electrohydraulic-single-line-icv-slsh.pdf\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/dam.bakerhughes.com\/m\/1e715c5aa2e35139\/original\/SureCONTROL-Plus-electrohydraulic-single-line-icv-slsh.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SureCONTROL Plus<\/a><\/strong> interval control valves (ICVs), designed for remote operation, are transforming zonal control in <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/deep-water-wells-contract-in-nigeria\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"133201\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">subsea and dry wells<\/a><\/strong> .
