ITM Power has signed an engineering, procurement and design (FEED) contract<\/a><\/strong> with a major European energy company. The agreement aims to develop a standard design for a 10 MW green hydrogen production plant, marking a milestone in the deployment of clean technologies in the UK. <\/p>\n\n

FEED Contract Drives Standard Design with NEPTUNE V<\/h2>\n\n

The project will be based on the modular configuration of two NEPTUNE V<\/a><\/strong> containerised electrolysis systems of 5 MW each. These systems employ ITM\u2019s proton exchange membrane (PEM) technology, recognised for its efficiency and reliability in the production of renewable hydrogen<\/a><\/strong> . The standard design will allow the client company to deploy the plant at multiple locations in the UK. <\/p>\n\n

This agreement with another large-scale European energy company cements NEPTUNE V as the clear leader in its class. The 10MW configuration will enable our client to rapidly deploy projects across the UK. <\/p>\nSaid Dennis Schulz, CEO of ITM Power.<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n

Ambitious goals for 2030<\/h2>\n\n

The UK is seeking to achieve 6GW of green hydrogen installed capacity by 2030<\/strong> , in line with its climate strategy. Hydrogen Allocation Rounds (HAR) support these efforts, with initiatives such as HAR2<\/a><\/strong> , which seeks to fund up to 875MW of capacity. <\/p>\n\n

The proposed standard design reduces implementation costs and accelerates project start-up. The modular configuration allows capacity to be scaled according to customer needs and site-specific conditions. In addition, the focus on PEM technology<\/a><\/strong> reinforces the sustainability and efficiency of the system. <\/p>\n\n
