(HD KSOE).<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The challenge of liquid hydrogen in the maritime industry<\/h2>\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/first-evtol-of-hydrogen-liquid-of-the-world\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"166604\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Liquid hydrogen<\/a><\/strong> , which is stored at extremely low temperatures (-253\u00b0C), presents complex technological challenges, especially in its large-scale transportation. HD KSOE&#8217;s innovative design has managed to overcome one of the main barriers: <strong>vacuum insulation in large-scale tanks.<\/strong>  <\/p>\n\n<p>This system improves the scale of storage and significantly reduces the time required to reach vacuum in large tanks, optimizing the manufacturing process in shipyards.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Technological advances and international collaboration<\/h2>\n\n<p>The development of this system has been made possible thanks to the collaboration between several leading companies in the energy and maritime industry. Companies such as <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/woodside-energy-will-train-pemex-workers-in-exploration-and-production\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"56794\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Woodside Energy<\/a><\/strong> , Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) and Hyundai Glovis actively participated in the validation of the design.   <\/p>\n\n<p>Through rigorous design evaluations and performance testing, the companies have confirmed the effectiveness of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/posts\/lloyd%27s-register_hydrogen-energytransition-innovation-activity-7284977205523197952-SDJf?utm_source=share&amp;utm_medium=member_desktop\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/posts\/lloyd%27s-register_hydrogen-energytransition-innovation-activity-7284977205523197952-SDJf?utm_source=share&amp;utm_medium=member_desktop\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">vacuum system developed by HD KSOE<\/a><\/strong> , positioning this advancement as a benchmark for future applications in the hydrogen industry.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Implications for the energy transition<\/h2>\n\n<p>This achievement represents an important step towards the commercialisation of liquid hydrogen and a crucial breakthrough for large-scale <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/hydrogen-transport-scotland-rotterdam\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"111165\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">hydrogen transport<\/a><\/strong> , one of the biggest challenges facing the maritime industry on its path to decarbonisation.
