This effort seeks to promote decarbonisation and sustainability in <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/the-expectation-of-taxing-maritime-transport-increases\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"88049\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">maritime transport<\/a><\/strong> , significantly reducing polluting emissions. <\/p>\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/en\/news\/ume-will-receive-the-first-seaglider-monarch\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/inspenet.com\/noticias\/ume-recibira-el-primer-seaglider-monarch\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ground effect vehicles<\/a><\/strong> , also known as flying boats, take advantage of the lift offered by the &#8220;ground effect&#8221; to move with greater energy efficiency and less resistance. Source: AIRSHIP <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Simulations and preliminary results of flying boats<\/h2>\n\n<p>The AIRSHIP team, coordinated by the Polytechnic University of Madrid and with the participation of several European universities, has carried out <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/airshipproject.eu\/tests-flights-with-the-a0-s-prototype\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/airshipproject.eu\/tests-flights-with-the-a0-s-prototype\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">simulations of the operation of these vehicles<\/a><\/strong> on predetermined routes. Key factors such as <strong>costs per kilometre, potential income and profitability of the routes<\/strong> were analysed.
